After Lilit for Armenia and Gülşen for Turkey, it’s time to turn our attention westwards and take a look at 2015’s returnee the Czech Republic. Have we found an artist who could bring the Czechs to their first final?

And it was a close-fought battle for supremacy but Lenka Dusilová with Baromantika was the narrow favourite with our readers. The choice suggests that fans and readers would like the Czech Republic to continue down the alternative route and in the Czech language. Would Dusilová and her band bring her country to the final? We can only dream!

Second place went to Markéta Irglová, with third and fourth place in our poll going to Lucie Vondráčková and dual-national Ewa Farna. Other suggestions included a return for both Marta and Václav as well as the German band Die Happy who Marta is the lead singer of.
