With only a week to go until the final, the running order for the Czech Republic’s national final has been drawn and revealed by Kryštof Šámal, the Czech Head of Delegation.

The ESCZ 2023 national final is due to take place on 30 January at 21:00 CET in Prague and will be livestreamed on the official Eurovision YouTube channel. The winner of the national final will be decided by 70% international online voting and 30% by the Czech public. Voting via the Eurovision app will open during the show and close on 6 February with a winner announced the following day.

ESCZ 2023 running order:

  1. Maella
  2. Pam Rabbit
  3. Markéta Irglová
  4. Vesna
  5. RODAN

ESCZ 2023 is set to be an exciting return to a live national final format for the Czech Republic with the last one being held 15 years ago in 2008 with the then Eurosong (2007-2008). Before 2023 the Czech entry was selected via ESCZ’s exclusively online selection format from 2018-2022. The only exception was Benny Cristo’s internal selection in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic which cancelled the 2020 contest.

Last year’s Czech representative were the band We are Domi with the song “Lights Off”. The band were first to perform in the Grand Final and placed 22nd overall with 38 points.
