The United Kingdom’s representative, Olly Alexander has confirmed on social media platforms, that his song ‘Dizzy’ will be released on 1 March.

The announcement followed a series of teasers yesterday where the singer played a weatherman, hinting at ‘Dizzy’ spells in the UK. This teaser increased speculation that an announcement was imminent.

On the day of the announcement, Alexander also released a short teaser of his Eurovision entry:

‘Dizzy’ is set to be performed by Alexander at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, Sweden. The song was co-written by Alexander and Danny L Harle who has produced hits for Dua lipa, Chic and Charli XCX.

Alexander will succeed Mae Muller who represented the UK at Eurovision 2023 on home soil in Liverpool. Muller placed 25th in the Grand Final with 24 points.
