The management of SRG (Swiss broadcaster) has today decided who will be leading the grand project of making the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest a success. In fact, it’ll be a double effort even.

ESC 2025 well underway!

It hasn’t even been a month yet, since Nemo impressed inside Malmö Arena and all the viewers watching from home. However, SRG SSR is working hard to show the world, what the Swiss are capable of producing. Today, the broadcaster has appointed Reto Peritz – who is Head of Entertainment at SRF (German part) – and Moritz Stadler – Head of Operations at RTS (French part).

For those unaware of how the Swiss broadcaster operates, then it has to be mentioned that the broadcaster is divided into 4 sub-groups, or rather 4 sub-broadcasters, which covers all 4 official languages in Switzerland, those being Swiss German(SRF), French(RTS), Italian(RSI) and Romansh(RTR).

With that on mind, Reto Peritz from SRF, is a former Head of Delegation for Switzerland, and was even elected to be part of the reference group from 2019-2021. He also has a masters of Advanced Studies and a degree in Leading Digital Business Transformation. Valuing to produce and deliver entertaining content of the highest quality. Meanwhile Moritz Stadler from RTS, not only works for the French regional broadcaster, but also for the EBU – who are located in Geneve – where he has been a Manager of Network Resources, as well as Head of Projects.

Both being very experienced in their field and very knowledgeable about the song contest, will ensure that the 2025 will be an unforgettable one. Both men will slowly hand over their current roles to focus on producing the upcoming contest, and will eventually return to their positions, after the 2025 contest has concluded.

Host cities are preparing

While we also wait, potential host cities around the country have also been given a “City Bid Book”, in which the interested cities will be briefed about the expectations and needs that the cities need to fulfill, in order to host the contest next year. These cities then have until the end of June month to submit their bid, and the broadcaster has confirmed that the host city will be announced sometime at the end of August.

What do #YOU think about these two gentlemen and their experience and where would #YOU like the contest to be held?
