Rehearsals begin today in Yerevan for Junior Eurovision, and before hitting the stage we managed to grab Mariam Bigvava of Georgia for a quick chat. Learn more about her long-time dream to participate in JESC and her love of football below!

Hello there Mariam, thanks for taking time to interview with us! How are you doing today?

Hey, I am very well!

Let’s help our readers get to know you a bit better. What is one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you?

I think people will be surprised Because I am a karate player, And a big football fan, I also play football.

The official JESC website says that it’s long been your dream to represent Georgia in the contest. When did this dream first start and how does it feel that it finally came true?

I was young when I heard about Eurovision, I think like 4-5 years old. I listened and sang the songs of different participants and dreamed that one day I would stand on this stage. This is a great joy and responsibility for me.

Now your journey to Junior Eurovision started a while ago, back in April with the fifth season of Ranina. What was your experience like on the show?

Ranina gave me a lot of experience and opportunities, I love the whole Ranina group very much.

In thinking about your time at Junior Eurovision and in Armenia, what are you most looking forward to doing or experiencing?

I really want to experience what it’s like to step on such a big stage for the first time, And I also really want to meet new friends and acquaintances.

Performing at Junior Eurovision is a big life accomplishment, what do you hope to accomplish next once the contest is over?

I hope that next year I will have many concerts outside the city.

In closing, do you have a final message you’d like to share with the ESCUnited readers?

First of all, thank you all for your support, I will try to give you a lot of joy with my song. I also hope you will not spare me and vote for me.
