Not surprised. The clothes were hideous, the staging messy and his performance felt oddly disjointed. For a while he acted sad, then creepy and predatory, then pranced like a drag queen. Not a great song from the start IMO, but so many poor choices were made it's hard to believe.

I think the biggest problem with this entry was making me and @lavieenrose like it. That means it's now a certified camp classic. I think the chances would have been so much better if it was presented like the first version of the song we heard. The new mix including the 15 second Ralph Siegel-esque dance break really probably wasn't the best idea. I feel it was always way too high in the odds even before seeing the staging.. but yeah, how it was presented was the final nail in its glittery coffin. I'm sad for Czechia

Well, at least it became obvious very quickly during the rehearsals we won't get in. (and I took advantage by placing bets on our NQ yesterday ). I had my first doubt already when they revealed the outfits, but still wanted to believe they know what they're doing, but they just got it completely wrong this time.

I am baffled how uninspired the staging was and that no one from our delegation couldn't see that nothing is working and all the elements of the performance just don't fit when put together, so it comes across as messy, confusing and with no power to draw the viewer in.

I just feel sorry for ADONXS, as I think he's one of the more interesting artists in our music scene and ESC has always been his dream.

Still think we will be in next year as well, but too early for such discussions yet.

I'm so sad for Adonxs, it was so clear how much he wanted this. He was still along the better 10 for me, but I am not surprised he NQed.

This one seemed to be such a sure qualifier, but I think the staging is to blame here. What were they thinking when they chose the outfits?
It was a solid performance though and he can be proud of his performance!

And one more thing, I hope this is a bit of a reality check for our delegation and if we stay in the next years, they stay humble and work hard instead of puttin out big statements like "We will be Top 5 this year for sure" months before the contest or "we have the best music video in ESC history" or Ahmad stirring shit up with fake drama on X for attention.

I do agree though that the Czech delegation needs to chill and stop thinking how easy it is to win or even get top 5 at Eurovision.

I hope Czechia stays, they have sent great entries over recent years.

Sad for Czechia, I think the song was great and deserved qualification.

I kind of feel aside from any mistakes that the staging was kind of underwhelming. It felt a bit like it didn't have a very strong point of view and felt directionless somewhat...

I hope Ahmad's job also includes something else apart from spreading half-truths and making big statements with tons of grammar mistakes I used to give a lot of credit to his posts since he is an official member of the Česká televize delegation and it was not a pleasant surprise when his claims turned out to be far from the truth

I moved this to my NQ list after seeing rehearsal pics, and after I saw the performance tonight I was fairly sure it was NQing. The song was disjointed, horrible outfits, dancing was boring. It was just all very charmless and I can see why televoters didn't connect.

I thought it was a mediocre song from day 1 but I put it in the Q list thinking he'd elevate it to a qualifier, being a successful performer in the region.
