Elena Tsagkrinou is going to fly the flag for Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam, Amsterdam.

The artist for the Mediterranean island’s Eurovision participation next year was unveiled on the morning TV show ‘Ómorfi méra káthe méra‘ (Beautiful Day Every Day) at approximately 10:00 local time (09:00 CET)

The name of Tsagkrinou’s Eurovision song is El Diablo penned by Thomas Stengaard, Laurel Parker, Jimmy Joker and Oxa. You will have to be a bit more patient, the song will be releaset at a later date.

Elena Tsagkrinou is a Greek singer from Athens, Greece, former member of the band Otherview. She represented Greece at the seventh edition of the Europa Song Contest, held in Akranes, Iceland, with the song “Pame Ap’ Tin Arxi”. She had her big break when she took part in Greece Got Talent reaching the Semi-Final Stage.

In 2018, she released her first solo track, “Let’s Go From The Start”

 

Sandro was internally selected for 2020 with the Song Running but was not asked back for 2021, paving the way for Elena Tsagkrinou to take the stage in Rotterdam.
