Spain isn’t giving Eurovision fans a break this week!

Fresh off of qualifying for Saturday’s Benidorm Fest final, and moving one step closer to representing Spain at Eurovision in May, Rayden and Tanxgueiras have dropped a new song and music video! The collaboration, titled “Averno”, was teased on social media late last year and in a video posted two days ago.

The song, a perfect blend of the artists’ music styles, features music and lyrics by Rayden and the three members of Tanxgueiras: Aida Tarrío,Olaia Maneiro, and Sabela Maneiro. As is typical of songs from the the latter, “Averno” features Galician-language lyrics.

Parts of the music video were shot in the stunning Hostal dos Reis Católicos, a historic, celebrated hotel that has been in consistent operation since it was first built in 1486. The video was produced and directed by the team behind Trece Amarillo, a video production studio that has worked on several past music video for Tanxguieras.

The singers appear to have grown close while filming. In December, Rayden posted two cozy on-set photos with the members of Tanxgueiras.

They may all be friendly, but they still want to win. We’ll have to wait until Saturday to find out if either of them will. Regardless, hopefully this is a collaboration that continues in the future!

Do #YOU think Rayden and Tanxgueiras are a match made in heaven? Are #YOU rooting for either of them to win Benidorm this year? If they don’t, they should definitely collaborate on an entry next year, yeah? Sound off in the comments below, in our forum, or on social media @ESCUnited.
