It’s a fiercely contested edition of Melodi Grand Prix, and we are down to the last nine competitors in tonight’s final. This is one that could go in many directions – so which direction did the ESC United readers want it to head in?

It seems that we have a comprehensive victory in our poll – #YOU want Alessandra Mele to head to Liverpool to perform “Queen of Kings” for Norway, taking a convincing 29.5% of the vote! Second place in our poll was reserved for Ulrikke, who looks set to just miss out on another crack at Eurovision glory with “Honestly” according to our readers – but still a solid 24% of the vote for Ulrikke!

Third place went to the energetic “Ekko inni meg” by Jone, with 21.2% of the vote. Could Jone end up bringing Norway’s first song in Norwegian to Eurovision since 2006?

Fourth place in our poll went to Atle Pettersen with “Masterpiece”, taking 8.9% of the voting.

The full results of our poll for Melodi Grand Prix 2023 are as follows;

  1. Alessandra Mele – Queen of Kings (29.5%)
  2. Ulrikke – Honestly (24%)
  3. Jone – Ekko inni meg (21.2%)
