Tonight saw Sweden’s favourite music competition, Melodifestivalen, continue in Linkoping. 7 more artists competed for the coveted Songbird trophy.
Tonights voting lines raised money for Radiohjalpen’s appeal for Turkiye and Syria after this weeks earthquake. Heat 2 saw the following artists compete;
- Wiktoria – All My Life
- Eden – Comfortable
- Uje Brandelius – Grytan
- Panetoz – On My Way
- Tennessee Tears – Now I Know
- Maria Sur – Never Give Up
- Theoz – Mer Av Dig
Much like last week, the voting closed after Thomas G:Son was entered into Melodifestivalen Hall of Fame. And then, Maria Sur was announced to be going direct to the final!
The voting lines reopened for a short while, Linda Bengtzing and Marcus Carlsson performed a Melfest battle. Full of classic and modern Melfest bangers and lots of comedy! A classic interval act for Melodifestivalen.
A very quick tour of Linkoping led us to the final votes. Much like last week votes are presented in Eurovision style from each age televote category.
After the votes were presented it was clear/close and it was announced that Theoz & Tennessee Tears will qualify for the semi final (second chance round)!
And finally Panetoz will go direct to the final!
Melodifestivalen continues next week in Lidkoping where another 7 artists will compete for the next 4 spaces.
The Semi-Final (Second Chance) takes place on the 4th of March with the final in Stockholm following the week after.
