We have eight confirmed finalists performing in Sanremo Giovani for one of three spots in the Sanremo Music Festival in February, and this week we came one step closer to determining the last four who will be competing against them in the Final on December 16.

After three weeks of Area Sanremo auditions to screen the 549 applicants, a list of 46 acts was compiled for a qualifying round of auditions today, during which a final 20 were chosen to perform for the RAI Music Commission tomorrow, November 27.

While song titles have not yet been released, the 20 finalists’ names are:

  • Colla Zio (Band)
  • Dynamite 36 (Band)
  • Fellow (Solo Artist)
  • Fiat131 (Solo Artist)
  • I Tristi (Solo Artist)
  • Jaydar (Solo Artist)
  • Jore (Solo Artist)
  • Juma (Solo Artist)
  • Mayu (Solo Artist)
  • Michele & Marcos (Duo)
  • Monnaelisa (Solo Artist)
  • Motus (Solo Artist)
  • Noor (Solo Artist)
  • Pierfrau (Solo Artist)
  • Romeo & Drill (Duo)
  • Sameblud (Band)
  • Sarah Toscano (Solo Artist)
  • Stefania Tasca (Solo Artist)
  • Valentina Moro (Solo Artist)
  • Zo Vivaldi (Solo Artist)

The RAI Music Commission is made up of four music and television professionals: Federica Lentini, Massimo Martelli, Leonardo de Amicis, and Amadeus who will be this year’s Sanremo host and artistic director.

Last year, the four qualifiers from Area Sanremo were Destro, Littamè, Senza_Cri, and Vittoria. None of them made the top three at Sanremo Giovani, so it will surely be a goal of this year’s qualifiers to earn a place at the big competition in February.
