Following the postponement of the second heat in Hungary’s search for a Eurovision star after a national tragedy on Saturday, the national broadcaster MTVA has now confirmed what will happen to A Dal for the rest of its run.

The second heat, who were due to perform on January 21st, will now instead take place as the third heat on February 4th. The third heat of songs which was due to take place on January 28th will now become the second heat, with nothing else changing on that day.

To compensate for this and to ensure Hungary decides on the same day it had planned to, the semi-final stage of the competition has been pushed together, with a double header of semi-finals on February 10th and 11th rather than one week apart.

A Dal will still conclude on February 18th as originally planned, as part of this year’s Super Saturday. Malta will also decide on this day alongside five qualification shows across Europe planned so far.
