If you had to pick just one song from 2015 or 2016, what would it be and why?

I'm kinda curious to see how this turns out. From my observations is that 2016 was a better year in overall quality (i.e, there wasn't really that many bad songs)... but most people prefer 2015 because they had songs they really, really, liked or loved.

For me.

I think by far for me, my favorite song from the last 2 contests is France 2016. When I heard it the first time, I thought to myself "I think they might have something here". And then I listened to it again and again... and every time it puts a smile on my face and has me singing along. Just the way Amir performs it with such joy makes me believe in the message he's conveying - I even feel that connection listening to his album

If I could name three favourite songs, they would all come from the 2015 contest:
Maraaya "Here for you"
Elina Born & Stig Rasta "Goodbye To Yesterday"
Morland & Debrah Scarlett "A Monster Like Me"

It would be Eneda Tarifa - Perralle, but since that never got sent, it'll be Aminata - Love Injected.

:hr: 2016 for sure. I still sometimes get chills when I hear it, although :al: 2015 isn't far behind.

I managed to see that the stage performance was VERY good. But the song still gets on my nerves... I mean; it really gets on my nerves xscared
I am happy for Laura and Belgium though. They seem to be able to make diamonds out of any rock...

2015 rules when it comes to the really good songs, the ones that I love and will still listen to for years to come, and on top are
:it: 2015
:ee: 2015
 2015

...and whenever I get into party-mood, and the spirit is high I start to feel like a Golden Boy...

Clearly :me: 2016. My favourite song from last year was the British electroswing, and it stinks when put against The Real Thing.

Very hard choice between my three favourites from this year. I think i'm going to say "1944". I believe it's the greatest song we've had at the contest since "Suus" and that should count for something, no matter how charmed I am by the kitsch of "I Didn't Know". Jamala makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.
