Time to evangelize some of the people out there who voted for Conchita and to bring them back to the holy faith. 2015 is thus the perfect time for Vatican to debut. Maybe with these nice singing priests ?

They would probably do really well from all the religious Catholics in ESC.

No way. At least not in Spain. Even if the Pope Francis looks quite cool, Vatican and Catholic Church have a very bad image in Spain and I think this is similar in many other catholic countries.

And even if some hard catholic would vote for Vatican like maniacs (not likely they will be watching ESC btw), juries would screw them

I was partly joking in what I said, but I could just see some proper raging Catholics voting thinking it will give them some sort of religious salvation or a guaranteed spot in heaven.

They all have to wake up early on Sunday morning to go to the church to guarantee the real salvation, so I guess they have no time for Eurovision :(

According to wiki the Vatican has a population of 840 people whom I guess all are employed by the Catholic church (priests?). Giving these 840 people the same voting right as Italy wouldn't be very wise I think. The Vatican could indeed produce professional music if they wanted to, but to me it would be more like some kind of corporate music rather than music from a country. No, they wouldn't get a single vote from me.

Imagen the pope performing the Belarussian cheesecake entry
Some of the Swiss guard as background dancers
Or the pope jumping on a trampoline like the greek act

But more realistic would be Latin church songs with organ sound

However it would obviously be a country which doesn't tolerate acts like Conchita Wurst
but basically the thought that Vatican will take part one day is somehow funny

Would Vatican broadcast a song where there is a lesbian kiss or where there's a deep view into a pair of boobs ?

:?

They wouldn't want to tempt those cardinals away from a life of celibacy.
