Just a quick reminder: Wiwibloggs (allegedly THE experts, at least in their self perception ) thought the only one able to beat Sweden were Finland and Malta...

Well...

I don't care about general popularity and I thought it was more fun than the cold Swedish effort and the Finnish one just had less to it (and a weak chorus). And Sweden were never really going to win as we saw.

To Miriana's point, I must say she delievered a good vocal performance though...

Vocals were pretty much on point. The staging was a bit messy. The background shouldn't have been so busy, and the clothes seemed too "modern" while the NF performance was quirkier, this felt more like a "mainstream" contemporary pop performance, for lack of a better description. And it was kind of overtaken by Finland as the sexy/vulgar female entry of the year.

All in all, another memorable entry that will surely stay in the memory of Eurofans for years to come. For their size, Malta is actually overperforming - they just have to figure out a way to reach the general population better, like they did in 2021. More on this in the Malta 2026 thread...

Just find someone who manages it to turn it into a TikTok-trend and off you go.

I think it looked a bit cheap and tacky and was too desperately trying to sell sex. I found it offputting

People don’t get that “in the face songs” are not successful anymore in Eurovision. After Switzerland this looked so cheap and vulgar, that I couldn’t believe my eyes. Plus, people would not vote for Malta unless it is a win contender I guess. All those jury points in the past and the public is totally harsh on them…..I feel like my country was in the same position, unless we send a winner contender, we got a pass.

I quite liked Chameleon, although I'm not surprised it didn't get a good televote (Michaela did her best, the performance lacked something that would cause people to actively support it). I enjoyed it anyway.

In a different year, Je Me Casse could have had a top 10 televote...there was so much competition in 2021. I do feel the jury overrated it a bit.

The esc staging was too literal, losing all the playfulness and double-meaning it had in the national final. I actually really enjoy the song, but yeah, it should've been more fun instead of more kanty. She's a cool person though.
