I really like this song (though i'm one of the few ones as I see), but I can't see Macedonia qualifying after the awful rehearsals. I'm sorry :(

I don't know what else to say. I think we won't see Macedonia next year on ESC (also MKTV is in crisis, plus this). I don't think there will be people following the final, the interest will be low.
Gjoko was amazing, he did his best. Everything looked good, but it is not the first time. Karolina in 2007 qualified, didn't do well in the final. Same goes for Tose, Elena, Martin Vucic. Every year it is the same story. I was actually 100% sure that he will qualify after watching all the other performances. :? Whatever!

I do not agree that Macedoinia will wirthdraw! it's actually the only show on MKRTV that has some rating during the year! aside from the sports event that they broadcast! so they need it for the sponsorships! and the goverment always help (with finance of course) when it comes to ESC.
about Gjoko: he did well I agree! and about the rest that you've mentioned, yes they qualified but none of them floped in the final (none of them was bottom 5 to be percise). it's needless to mention now that our last qualification in 2007 that Karolina had was amoung 28 semi-finalists and she ranked 9th than! 14th in the final afterwards.
we need a quality song to reach the final! that's it! and a lil' bit MORE of luck (such as good draw, good semi :p )
it's only a shame that 3-4 dull songs made the final over Gjoko, but I have to say prior the semi final tonight I did not expeted him to make the final. so I'm not really dispapoonted!
we should not be cry-babies...as we made the final each year from 2004-2007....
2008-2010 is our low period...so a good one might start next year!
so looking forward to 2011! :D
btw, for starters, MKRTV should change their whole ESC team filled with fosils :!: :x

I heard some rumours before that if we don't pass this year, we can say goodbye, farewell to ESC. I don't wanna see that, because I would rather see Macedonia on the top.
I want next year to choose a singer first (Kaliopi looks like the best option now, since we need a good result) and then a good song. And not just to qualify and end somewhere randomly in the middle of the table. Rather be in the top5 at least. It is a shame to degrade our music. :|
Anyway, I didn't care much about the result. The song was underrated and bashed from the beginning, so I was ready to jump if he was about to qualify. He did his best, hands down to him for that. The moment I saw Russia qualifying, I knew that we are not there. I want Macedonia back next year!!! :)

Sorry Macedonia for not making it. It wasn't a surprise though and hopefully you'll come up with something more appealling and fun next year. Great vocal performance but it just wasn't enough.

Yes and keep in mind that 2008 and 2009 (i think) you DID make the top 10 in the semi finals and woulda qualified if not for the jury...i am really upset that Macedonia did not qualify!! i wish they did instead of Bosnia..but i guess Vuko had strong Serbian support because he is serb...

Now i am worried about whether Croatia will make it to the final! and if they do I dont even think we'll get the top ex-yu votes :( :( Macedonia will give to turkey or albania, bosnia MIGHT give to us but more likely to Serbia, Serbia to Bosnia..and who knows with Slovenia...so i guess another year of ESC not in the balkans :( :(

I can't say I'm surprised, the staging of the song was a complete mess and that's usually the case for Macedonian entries. I remember thinking in 2007, if Karolina got rid of her pointless dancers and had 5 backing vocals, the song would have come across much more powerful and professional. But that's when Macedonia had a decent song, this year the song was pretty average and while I could say it was better (imo) than a few of the actual qualifiers, it would have done nothing had it actually reached the final.

So the solution to all your problems next year is to scrap your NF (save money) and send this lovely lady:

yes! kaliopi would be a good choice..or send elena risteska big a nice ballad and put her in a long dress, no dancers..just her and her amazing voice and beautifulk looks!

i agree about karolina..dancers only leave an impact if there is 3 or 4 dancers (like greece this year, or ukraine 2006) to a fast song doing synchronised choreography! its rather pointless with just two ballet dancers in the background

I just wanted to share this with the fellow Macedonians (read the news about the Norwegian kids singing "Makedonsko devojce"). Apparently there is a clip of how kids from elementary school in Norway welcomed the Macedonian delegation by singing "Makedonsko devojce".
I have to applaud and thank Norway for the attention they gave to Macedonia. Really nice gesture. :) On top of that my favorite host (the lady with the blue dress) was very happy when she mentioned Macedonia, that it really looked like she took one "zolta rakija" in the party.
I guess it is a time for a change in the selection. Internal selection would be the best option. I just hope the rumours are not true (I hope no withdrawal) and that MKTV will pull the strings properly (if not, they can give the role to A1).

As for the Macedonian 12 points, I would be more than delighted if they go to Albania. After watching her performance and Slovakia is missing out, one of my votes will go for Albania. :D  They deserve it and I hope the jury will award Albania with high points and overall the 12. :) The interest about the final will be pretty low. I don't think Turkey will get 12 points or the 10 points. 8 or less I believe.
