Drobe (without the dubstep) or Katarsis, pls [Petunija also caught my attention]
I need to listen to the finalists again, though - today too much ESC NFs were going on :D

God I love an emotive indie girl (TAKE FUCKING NOTE, IRU TALES) and the song's just really cute and nice. I love Ieva but she brought more of the same. Let's pass the torch to Sophie instead.

Or Katarsis.

Or ANYONE but fucking Black Biceps and that miserable aging woman Gebrasy.

I don't think that there are any "losers" now.
I mean, you can't expect that revealing all votes straight after the heats would be a good idea - especially when televoters' favourite didn't make it because of the juries having more power in terms of ties.

Maybe it's time to move on for LRT and make a song which got more points from the televoters qualify if there's a tie?
The compromise LRT made to keep juries as the tie-breaker for heats/semifinals was staking the Estonian route and making a super final starting last year solely decided the tele-vote. Lithuania has always revealed tele-votes straight after heats and they used to leak juries scores pre 2019 after the taping.

Pandering to the public would probably backfire for LRT big time if they only realize that maybe, just maybe, this could open a can of worms in a different direction altogether. I for one am hopeful that we will pick right and there won't be a surprising emergence of a televote fav we overlooked but knew that could do that, but still, we will get to see the re-enabled talks of Black Biceps mobilizing Lithuanian Poles and Liepa mobilizing her Instagram influencer army once more. But the juries won't at least allow Liepa and Black Biceps on the superfinal three considering they weren't in the juries' top 2s of each semi (and neither was Sophie Ali but she qualified naturally), and the backlash at not having Katarsis winning would feel like greater than the one that happened with the eliminations of Liepa and Black Biceps.

Have any other NFs done this shit, anyway? It's similar to when Sudden Lights got a wildcard to the Supernova final 7 years ago and almost won? It's not like something like this will also happen now, calm down.

Iceland have done a solo wildcard before. I get what you are saying but its not like LRT haven't done this before. 2017 I recall there was the vote that guaranteed Lolita Zero coming back and Greta Zazza.

You have to look at the big picture. LRT want to sell out Zalgiris Arena and contineue to make this a regular thing taking the final on the road. Ticket sales weren't going well from what I heard. A big part of that is due to ire from fans that felt Black Biceps and Liepa were robbed. (The other reason is the ticket prices being too steep. )I get there is diaspora votes and influencer votes but there are also a lot of people that genuinely like the song. They want to make as much money in the final of course to be able to supply the winning act with a reasonable budget.

Both of them finished tied with 2nd place and only lost out on the jury tie break. Its not like they are throwing in a random song that got in 5th place so it was the perfect storm to give out wildcards. I half jokingly mentioned about it last week because it just made too much sense. Katarsis and Lion Ceccah are still the main contenders I think with the former being the favorite. At the end of the day the tele-vote will decide who wins from the three super finalists.

Black Biceps coming back is excellent news. They deserve it xcheer

Hopefully televoting numbers are a good indicator of a final result because i'll be rooting for Black Biceps and Katarsis. My other faves are out already.

1-Black Biceps "Visaip man reik"
2-Katarsis "Tavo akys"
3-Euften "Goodbye Hell"
4-Siga "Walking With My Shadow"
5-Hansanova "Leilydo"
6-Donata "Empower"

Lion Ceccah is on a hype train right now and that's right before the final. That might be important. Audio version didn't deliver, but performance really did. I'm a bit surprised to see that much support he receives from older generations, who are usually more conservative in our selection and goes with smth more ESC friendly like Liepa. But for now it seems that her comeback was overshadowed by Chicco's performance.
Final is quite hard to predict this year, let alone winner, even those three who will make it to superfinal is not that easy to guess. I bet that juries will go with Katarsis and Chicco, audience will back up them too, so these two should qualify to superfinal. Liepa should do good in televoting, but hard to say if she won't flop in juries again, I mean there're acts like Anyanya, Petunija, Amoralu who did good in juries and can all knock Liepa down in jury's standings ladder, which might cost her superfinal place. But if she will make it somehow, then in superfinal leaving only the audience to vote... Anything might happen, especially if Katarsis and Chicco will split their votes. For now it's really hard to see any other act going for a win, but maybe smth will change in a week, anyways, that will be interesting Saturday night in Kaunas

Really happy Sophie got the 2nd spot in the final from Semi 5. She was great and really sold the performance with her facial expression. Bluest Bell is a very cleverly written song. The contrast between the mood in the song and lyrics is well done. Arguably the prettiest staging of Eurovizija. LT 2025 and nice to see an American in the final. :)

Lion Ceccah won the heat and would be strongly favored to reach the super final. Its a complex song but opening really captured me. The most artistic staging having seen all 44 songs perform now. He certainly threw the kitchen sink at this. From his standard operatic vocals to unexpected electro drops and synths leading to unique dances. My worry is it will be too avant-garde for an Eastern European audience to vote for. Also at times feels like sensory overload with all the sights and sounds.

As for the rest Matas will consider himself unlucky ti just miss out in 3rd. Ieva finished where I expected. Sun Francisco being put as low as 8th is very harsh. Alright could've done better with a more charismatic singer. Ofelija wasn't as bad as I expected but she even said in her interview she wasn't expecting to do particularly well.

I don't really get Katarsis yet but It might grow on me (Sentimentai, for example, I didn't like at first but it ended up being my winner in 2022 and one of my favorite Eurovision songs of all time). My favorite is still by far Tai kur namai. Of the ones that made it to the final I like Gebrasy, Lion Ceccha and Sophie Ali the most.

Gebrasy – Whole 8/10
Sophie Ali – The bluest bell 8/10
Lion Ceccah – Drobė 7/10
Petunija – Į saldumą 7/10
Liepa – Ar mylėtum 7/10
Katarsis – Tavo akys 6.5/10
Noy – Just take me on a date 6.5/10
Anyanya – Running out of time 6.5/10
Justė Baradulinaitė - Tired 6.5/10
Amoralu – Freedom 5.5/10
Gøya - After storm 2.5/10
Black Biceps - Visaip man reik 2/10

Some voting polls started in Lith popular news sites. Checked two of them, in both around 4k people voted and Lion Ceccah and Liepa are leading with ~26-27%, third comes Katarsis with 17-18%. All the rest are way behind and none reaches atleast 10%, closest with 6-9% are Black Biceps, Sophie Ali and Anyanya
