I was kind of happy with the Jury votes, but rather disappointed by the televotes, thought we would have more there. Something like 13th place would have been nice, but then again everything is better than bottom 5. Two times in a row we are in top 15 and that's a success!

15th place feels so wrong!! I wonder what they would have done with the pre-2015 system.

They can be so proud. They received so many points for German standards. It was so enjoyable to follow the voting procedure, even 12 points a few times. I wish this would have been honored more by the people in the aftershow.

And 11th in the televote is not that far away from Stefan Raab's usual standards. He always says he chooses music for the audiences...

They can be darn proud. Not only did they prove how good they eventually are, they did pretty well with juries AND televote. I ust hope the German media wont devour them. People here forget that 15th place is pretty good and not even that bad. I hate the fact that they make it look like a disaster. In a year this political thats pretty darn gooood. I was shocked at how good Germany came across yesterday. I wish them all the best hred

Congratulations, Germany! Great performance and good result.

And I am so happy that Poland gave you 5 points. It was worth to vote this year! :D

Okay, so I thought my slight disappointment watching Germany yesterday was due to the running order, but listening to the performance now on YouTube, I realize that her breath control was indeed poor. Her Halbfinale version remains the best. She was lucky to score so well in Basel.

Having said that, I don't regret having Germany as my shared number one this year. Definitely one of the most original and modern songs in the running.

For example, Poland and Estonia were behind us according to the juries, but then had high outliers in the televote. Switzerland, the Netherlands, and France had their outliers in the jury vote, but were weaker than us in the televote. But the outlier in the juries was enough to keep them ahead of us. That's how we ended up in 15th place. It's annoying that this year there was such a drastic difference between the televote and the juries.

I'm happy Germany got another Top 15. Of course, we could have wished for a higher place, but it's a more than decent entry and the one that pops in my head frequently these days. This is fresh. I have always loved hearing the German language in music, I think it brings charisma, so I hope you will continue down that route in the next years.

This was great! It's not trying to pretend to be something else, just pure fun, catchy bop. All my casual friends I was watching the final with liked it a lot as well and Germay ended up being in our group top 5 :) Was disappointed it got such low televote result.

The problem was for sure, that most people don't vote for their 5th favorite. They vote for their 1st favorite, maybe 2nd favorite, too, but that is it. It is in the end the same if a viewer ranks a song on place 5 or 26. The result is no vote.

Germany, you were the best out of the Big 5 + Host this year! I'm sure we'll be hearing this song for many years to come at all Eurovision-related parties. Actually, I'm hoping that it will receive some more success in the following months in mainstream media all over Europe, it definitely has the potential to be the 2025 summer hit!

The result is about right IMO, given the live performance. It was fun, but the vocals were still weak-ish and the energy was missing in several points (the only comments any of my friends made were "wow, Tynna sandwiched between Poland and Greece only makes it worse"). Which I'm not really mad about though - the song is awesome, A&T are cool and I'm glad I discovered them as artists, and 15th is a perfectly fine result. Hopefully the Media will leave them alone and they can User this as a great platform for their career. All good, and I'm pretty happy with how it went.

(And I will admit, not placing higher means Raab gets less credit - and I personally prefer that 😅)

Why do you guys think this did so much better in Eastern Europe vs Western Europe?
