Yeah, that´s another problem that the ARD audience is kinda conservative and mostly votes for boring stuff. :(

I was with you until you included Cascada along with Sisters and Jamie Lee, the absolute insult. Germany was serving when you picked Cascada, even if they did end up flopping.

Don't get me wrong, I liked Cascada, but Blitzkids were my absolute favourites that year. 80's are my jam and their song still slaps today :lol:


That list is more about my own disappointment of my favourites not being chosen than about my thoughts of the winning candidate.

Let's see. Three more days and we have either a shitstorm or we have some good candidates - but as mentioned above, I am also afraid of what people will vote for. We can only pray beforehand and be angry and frustrated afterwards. :ROFLMAO:

Well, we´re still talking about NDR, so the chances are rather high that our heads will once again hit the tabletop out of desperation. :ROFLMAO:

I would love to say it's our average viewer's with their generic taste of music fault but don't forget, we've had international juries the past years and look what happend.

I would understand if we sent bland songs (because a lot of ppl here do listen to the kind of generic German radio pop) to promote an artist. But most German Eurovision artists didn't even manage to be successful in Germany, so I don't get what the point is in choosing a typical German pop song. Yeah, people want culture and such but no one wants to hear yodeling and accordion, not even from Eastern Europe and a fake kiss on stage.

That's the point with the international juries. So I would be super happy if Eskimo Callboy WOULD be one of the 6 artists and that Germany would just choose them to go to Turin. I mean, what could happen worse anway? But I am afraid that the public voting wouldn't want them. We would rather send a bland pop song and afterwards we lament that we are on the 25th or 26th place again. Germans!
