Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz - Midnight Gold

Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz is a Georgian indie rock band. They will represent Georgia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Midnight Gold". They are the first all-male band to represent Georgia in the contest.

The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Nika Kocharov (Georgian: ნიკა კოჩაროვი), vocalist and bassist Gia Iashvili (Georgian: გია იაშვილი), guitarist and keyboardist Nick Davitashvili (Georgian: ნიკა დავითაშვილი), and drummer Dima Oganesian (Georgian: დიმა ოგანესიანი).

"The Georgian Public Broadcaster GPB has also announced an open contest to select the Georgian entry for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. Songwriters are asked to send in songs, all of which should be created specifically for these musicians. The requested style is described as "melodic song structure of alternative and indie rock with electronic beats, synths and/or samples, and club orientation of post-disco dance music."

The composition (lyrics and music) must not have been commercially released before. The song should be less than 3 minutes long. All interested songwriters are asked to send in their songs in audio version, a photo and a CV, evrovision@gpb.ge from December 15 until January 8"
