6 - Betty Curtis - Al di lá
7 - Jean-Claude Pascal - Nous les amoreaux
8 - Colette Deréal - Allons, Allons les enfants
9 - Nora Brockstedt - Sommer i Palma
10 - Jimmy Makulis - Sehnsucht
11 - Laila Kinnunen - Valoa ikkunassa
12 - Lale Andersen - Einmal sehen wir uns wieder
13 - Greetje Kauffeld - Wat een dag

16 - Lilijana Petrovic - Neke davne zvezde
Such an enjoyable year, extremely catchy for the competition standards in early days... The Allisons are my winners, because I love their attitude and the song is really an earworm. Great debut for Spain, I must say: Estando Contigo is really a memorable song, and Conchita Bautista was such a performer. Nous Aurons Demain is quite easily the best classic chanson in the list, because my top 2 is quite uptempo for 1961. Other songs I enjoyed are Sweden, Monaco and Italy, for different reasons: the first two for being really catchy, my country for the vocals and performance provided by Betty Curtis. The actual winner is middle of the road for me: not the best option, but not the worst either.
1962:
1 - Conny Froboess - Zwei kleine Italiener
2 - Isabelle Aubret - Un premier amour
3 - De Spelbrekers - Katinka
4 - Victor Balaguer - Llamame
5 - Ronnie Carroll - Ring-a-ding girl
6 - Claudio Villa - Addio, addio
7 - Eleonore Schwarz - Nur in der Wiener luft
8 - Marion Rung - Tipi-tii
9 - Inger Berggren - Sol och vår
10 - Lola Novakovic - Na pali svetlo u sumrak
11 - Fud Leclerc - Ton nom
12 - Ellen Winther - Vuggevise
13 - Camillo Felgen - Petit Bonhomme
14 - Francois Deguelt - Dis rien
15 - Jean Philippe - Le retour
16 - Inger Jakobsen - Kom sol, kom regn
I have mixed feelings about 1962... For sure not the best year of Eurovision, and the final results were quite shocking for me (I mean, Luxembourg and Monaco podium finishers??? Why, precisely? Well, at least the winner is good: not the best winner ever, but still a good song). My personal winner is Germany: as an "Italiener", I find the song memorable and the performance adorable. The Netherlands, Spain and Austria all deserved a top 10 spot.
1963:
1 - Grethe & Jørgen Ingmann - Dansevise (by far... One of the most deserving winners ever)
2 - Esther Ofarim - T'en va pas
3 - Monica Zetterlund - En gång i Stockholm
4 - Nana Mouskouri - A Force de prier
5 - Alain Barrière - Elle était si Jolie
6 - Emilio Pericoli - Uno per tutte
7 - Laila Halme - Muistojeni laulu
8 - Vice Vukov - Brodovi
9 - Heidi Brühl - Marcel
10 - Anita Thallaug - Sohlverv
11 - Annie Palmen - Een speeldoos
12 - Carmela Corren - Vielleicht geschieht ein wunder
13 - José Guardiola - Algo Prodigioso
14 - Francoise Hardy - L'amour s'en va
15 - Jacques Raymond - Waarom?
16 - Ronnie Carroll - Say wonderful things
What can I say: one of the most predictable outcomes ever. Dansevise was way better than any other song this year, so I'm not surprised it actually won the Contest. I find the contest itself kinda underwhelming songwise: a lot of classic chansons with not that much of creativity. I'm ok with other five or six songs, but that's it: nothing really memorable. Except, obviously, the winner...
