FSC #195 May 2025 Entry Submission

The LL for FSC #195 May 2025 has just been completed at pubby.club. Thank you all for attending, a really good turnout

And so it is now possible for countries to promote their entries in the FSC Promotion thread and/or in their separate public country-threads.

The FSC May MP3-archives (with all the songs) and the FSC May Show will be posted in due course

FYI: The FSC May 2025-entry from Czech Republic (Pam Rabbit - bude To hard) was questioned for eligibility during today’s Live Listening event and is under review by the FSC Mod team.

We will consider the case with a view to the FSC Rules and eligibility, we will contact the Czech HOJ for clarification, and once a final decision has been made an announcement will be made in this forum.

Announcement: FSC #195 May 2025 - Czech Republic - Pam Rabbit - bude To hard

The Czech entry for FSC #195 May has been questioned during the Live Listening event at the start of the Evaluation Period for being in violation of the FSC Rules and has therefore been under review by the FSC Mod Team. The FSC Mod team has investigated the matter and also contacted the Czech HOJ for information/clarification.

Final Decision: We have found great similarity in the chorus/melody line of this song when compared to an older song by the artist SZA. Despite some technical information which indicated some differences, and with a view to consistency / fairness and how we have considered such cases before in FSC, we believe this entry is heavily influenced by the other song and thereby losing its identity.

We have consequently found the entry to be in violation of the FSC Rules regarding Covers/Samples (ref. FSC Rules, Entries pt 10 a1/d2) and the entry has therefore sadly been disqualified. This FSC Mod team decision is final.

It will be replaced by the Czech Back Up entry which becomes the New entry for Czech Republic in FSC May. The FSC #195 May Show banners/graphics with video and the May MP3-archives will be updated accordingly.
