To me they share dozens and have lots in common so who‘s right now? No one or both because it’s a personal opinion. As someone attending music lessons (I once sang in a band) I just tend to compare certain structures of a song, beat, notes etc. so I see similarities.
Could we just stop mocking people because of their comparisons? It’s so annoying and exhausting if someone writes "song x is a copy of y" and at once there are some „specialists“ here who always write „oh my God they have nothing in common“.
I actually made my post to support you xD

I'm able to play 2 instruments, read 4 musical systems, played in a band as well and I agree with you. I see some similarities between GoA and "Fulenn".
Would I describe it as a copy because of it? Not really because GoA aren't the fist ones to compose such music.

What I wanted to say: Comparing this to GoA somehow makes sense because their entries can be classified in the same genre and they both have a breakdown followed by a sequence in which the tempo improves.
However, I'm tired of people claiming The Rasmus is a Maneskin copy because of what? A guitar? Or Chanel being a Fuego 2.0 because she can dance.

The guy says that the goal of eurovision is to sing in French because of national branding and says that fr. people don't want French representatives to sing in English so they shouldn't sing in Breton neither.
Silly french people
Fortunately, there are more bretons on the web to explain breton, bretagne, lyrics and so on, as soon as Fulenn is published :D

I will say it as politely as I can: What an ignorant piece of sh*t that person is.

Bretagne is part of France, no? - You´ve had songs in Corsican and partly in Creole - some songs even included huge parts of English (which isn´t even an official language in France) - So what´s the big deal of Breton? It´s part of the French culture. Full stop.
It does represent France as a diverse "linguistic entity" (which it is).

Personally, I´d prefer hearing a song in Sorbian for Germany to getting another "American-izsed" English pop song.

It's not like this is their first entry in Breton either:

Why would anyone pay attention to the opinion of an uneducated person who didn't even do their homework on languages already used by :fr: in ESC?

Well he says that he knows we had previously entries in regional languages but anyway I've seen way more people being happy by a song in breton than people complaining about it. And the comments on the tweet are 90% saying that he is wrong.

The average French people who don't follow esc are complaining that "we will be last as usual" but I try to don't pay attention to that. I was pleasantly surprised when I heard "oj, we are going to win with this song" on the radio station I listen to in the morning.

And there are also people who don't like the song, but it's ok to me to get different taste as long as they aren't insulting.

Honestly. I was VERY skeptical of a win the first time we saw the clips.
Then during the show I was like "okay there's something" I went from "we can land between 10 and 20" to "we can reach top 10".

Now that I see that a lot of people really like the song alone, drawing also comparisons to Shum that ended 5th and the fact that the competition is at the moment not that big, I'm kinda on the fence of a possible top 3 if not winning.

What they lack for now is preparation, a thing they're gonna have in May. I'm still not sure if they're gonna have the staging right it's very lottery-ish with France. We can hope for a Bilal-like improvement where they save us from a bottom 5 placement with a very cool staging.

For now I think we can assume it can be a contender for the win in May aka it has potential to be big. Not a runaway winner or obvious one but it has its chances. It's gonna be crushed or confirmed once we're gonna have all the songs in competitions + watch the fist rehearsals and see if they came up with ideas or not.

Why is it that difficult to understand?

Being an ESC Fan 101: Eleni Foureira invented dance pop, Go_A invented folk, Maneskin invented rock, Duncan Laurence invented piano. Repeat after me.
Who invented music though? I think Dana International in 1998. Any Eurovision Song Contest before that is simply not real and all ESCs before that are merely fabricated by AI holograms etched collectively into brains. Also music in general clearly did not exist either before 1998 you sheeple!

Wasn't it Alexander Rybak who invented music?

He introduced the concept in 2018 when he taught us all how to write songs.

And I have seen this on twitter : https://twitter.com/EstelleMidi/status/1500814059259707396?t=cPqQb5CdLjXb-mqHD2n7rA&s=19
Well, it's basically people who don't do any research giving their shitty opinions on tv.
Here I was, intending to be on my best behavior today by killing any temptation to dis about the centralized management of this country. But then you had to throw me another example of the absolute Parisian view of these so called journalists.
harey honey, I love you but it isn't good for my health

@Edweis Sorry. 😭 The positive side of this are all the comments saying that he is stupid, I believe that the majority of people enjoy having the Breton language at esc!

Yeah, thankfully people have more than one brain cell. They would take Breton over English any other day. It isn't because regional languages have been forced to disappear that we should just forget about them.

Anyway, when you take a look at the accounts of those who disagree with the choice because of the language, you can easily see they would have disagreed with, let's say Bilal, for plenty of reasons that aren't related to the song :censored: #oopsie

"Seule" will be the fan-fail of the year. I could see "Fulenn" coming first, "Seule" ending up 3rd overall, and an outsider coming 2nd (Marius ?).
I was right but I'd never have thought "Seule" would end up second-to-last with the juries. So happy for Pauline. If the voters represented the french audiences, I could have bet Pauline would be successful with the voters, but France 2's audience is generally old and would be more keen to vote for "Marius" or "Il est où ?". For this show, I felt like french population was really well represented through the voting, for the first time in a french NF.
