Regarding religion and votes for Israel: I know some Israelis in Berlin, also some (non israeli) jewish people. I think none of them will vote for Israel, they are more disgusted that it can compete actually. Their presence in the contest (and nevertheless what they do in Gaza) is actually more harming the jewish community in Germany then it helps them. TBH I think a lot of the Israel-votes equal the troll-aspect to piss off the "queer woke mafia" etc. in several countries. I have seen this weird coalition between german and israeli-right wingers very often lately.
Then there's these confused doublestandard germans who want to defend Israel no matter what and will vote for it because it it.

Well after reading your comments, the :il: vote will still remain as mystery to me.

I mean for me it’s not about pro and anti. I feel like most people these days (at least in :at:) are just more and more aware of the actions of :il: government so therefore many people are not favouring any side anymore…. (More aware of the victims on both sides and somehow annoyed by both sides…)

I just don’t get it how so many people might still be fully pro :il: and even vote for them due to that reason,

I think one important concept is people forgot you CANNOT downvote a country. Coupled with the backlash for making the entire experience of a contestant incredibly hostile will only make people vote for that contestant out of empathy.

So be smart about it, just ignore the entry and don't give it attention. Then the general public will not know about it and then there is no push to vote to show support for the contestant or Israel. It's actually that simple.

The producers are muting/ deleting any form of dislike anyway…

The main (only) surprises there are Spain and to some extent Iceland.
:es: fandom (media) is artificially hyping and pushing their entry once again. At this point it‘s quite pathetic. The :es: song sounds like something that would have already been dated at Eurovision in 2011…
