Unfortunately, there is not a single song that I am listening to on repeat or even every day. The year itself is decent, although I can't help it but leave my top without any 12. San Marino was up there in the beginning, but it has faded on me a little bit after a few listens.

Solid year. I'm loving the dismantling of the weepy ballad complex and the gradual return of cultural/linguistic authenticity. Luckily not many untolerable tracks and most of the songs predicted for the win are ones that i can get behind. Norway is reaching into GOAT territory and Greece isn't that far behind.

According to my statistics, seems like this year is equally good as 2023 for me. I had an average ranking of 58.8% for 2023 and 58.7% for 2024.

I have 13 songs I would categorize as "I love/really enjoy". 1/3 is not a bad score at all.

I would probably like to see Spain win it more than the others, though chances are quite unlikely if not impossible.

Noticing a lot of people (primarily) on Youtube leaving Israel out of their ranking.
What's the point of doing a top 37 ranking when you're leaving one of the songs unranked?
Way to politicize the contest even more... :rolleyes:

Including Israel in your ranking is just as political as leaving it out. The contest is and has always been political. Everything you do in public has political implications. You can't escape.

Sure, but then there's no need for anyone to do any top-rankings this year, at all.
I guess I just find it ridiculous to claim to make ranking videos, only for them to not judge songs on their own merit.

It's a sad state of affairs...

Every ranking is subjective, and context is important in the enjoyment of a song. For some people, it's not possible to enjoy a song in the same way if its context is disgusting. If you think the "sad state of affairs" is that people are leaving a country out of their rankings, and not that said country is perpetrating a genocide, I think there's something wrong with your priorities.

No, but you judge the song, rather than the country or the artist. Ideally, at least. I know it might be difficult, but if you set out to that when doing full ranking videos, people should have enough integrity to follow that through and not let them be intimidated by mob rule - in either direction.

Regarding your last passage; I don't think I've ever alluded to that, have I?
Lots of peoples priorities seem to be wrong though, depending on the context.

But never mind - we'll agree to disagree on this.
