The Italian broadcaster RAI announced earlier today that Emma will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Traditionally the broadcaster waited until the San Remo festival to reveal the representative but this year didn't waste any time and shared the news with the world.
Emma is consdiered one of the biggest selling female artists having her breakthrough 2010 on the talent show Amici which she won . After that her career took off and the 29 year old singer is also quite popular in Switzerland.
There are no news on the song selection but it will most likely be an internal selection with the official announcement expected in March.
