What bothers me a bit is the fact that this thread is held alive almost exclusively by Austrians. Could turn out that many people love the song but forget to vote for it.... :?

Well...

i think the reason is that the song is not controversial. not many who hate this song, no one hates the lovers. thus no discussion. this could be one of the dark horses. i guess there will be more this year. jurys will love this song but the result of the televote of course depends on the staging and the running order.

This! As for the traffic in this thread it all depends on controversial stuff we can talk about... (just look at the thread for example haha) In the end the result totally depend on staging, more like any other year... I'm pretty confident Cesar is planning something really interesting so maybe we will have a good televoting result. I have no doubt about a decent jury result in any case

That's the problem here. Everyone thinks it's a great song, but hardly anyone outside Austria is excited about it.

There's more support for Bulgaria, who have a song from the same song writers.

Semi 1 is really dreadful with all these generally loved entries and then there's Armenia and Azerbaijan ready to kill a fan favourite. And we aren't quite a fan favourite even.

Nathan surprised me last year.

Cesár already told us the name of one background singer: Rachelle Jeanty. Watched a few videos of her and I have to say: GREAT voice.

i saw another live stream and they freaked out as well. there are a few little things though that need to be changed. cesar does not use a hand microphone.

To debunk the common consensus here that only Austrians are excited by this song, this is one of the songs I really enjoy this year. I knew once it was released that this would be a dark horse. This song is a pure goldmine for people like me that grew up with a lot of soul, gospel and RnB music.

Haha I really can't say wether I'm liking this or not and if it will do well in the end... I don't really get the concept with just the clip and the live stream reactions but it seems that Cesar got a very positive reaction so I'm confident that it will look good on tv!

as heard in the live blogs the part in the video seems to be the only part that does not work that good (possibly there is some interaction with the audience planned in this part). and of course in the snippets we cant see how it looks on tv screen. but the overall reactions were very good (escunited) or even enthusiastic (wiwiblogs).

The pictures look cool so I believe it will do well. A qualifier. It's actually quite unique in the semi, no other songs like this.
