It is quite a basic song imho, really falling short off the expectations created by last year’s much better song. Also, this “quirky” theme is so generic by now, I really don’t feel it anymore, it just feels extremely forced/try-hard-to-make-a-meme for me...3 from me.

Now that it's almost a month after all songs got released and the excitement of the new has faded: I think The Roop are definitely a strong contender (even for the win). Charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent. All there. And very zeitgeisty.

It's not my favourite entry of the year but at least in my bubble the only entry everyone seems to agree on.

The hand gesture thing gets too cringy at this point when the band overuses them at most irrelevant/inconvinient times. I thought nothing could beat Poland's Light Me Up cringe level with their "hand dance" thing, but now The Roop is so hardly fighting for their top-cringe spot. I had to mute Eurovision's stories on Instagram just because of them, because it feels like when a toddler learns a really stupid move and repeatedly does it in front of their family to get some appreciation for something really stupid.

I will become the most hated person on here now, but I am not a fan of this song. It is produced nicely, it is something different than we usally have in songs (if we pretend Justin Timberlake Love Stones never happened). The verses ar enice, but I do not like the whispering chorus at all. I do not understand the hype, unfortunately

This has been my favourite song this year for almost all this Spring since it was released. ❤

What I love about it:
- the quirkiness and humor
- the dance beat
- the kinda dark undertones
- the sexy voice of the singer

Ok I have to admit the last point may be the most influential on me... but what can I do?

Lol, "Music First with The Poop". If music was really first in the Eurovision environment, these guys would've never polluted the competition and the Lithuanian selection with their awful songs, their disgusting stage presence, their trashy "choreographies", their protagonism, etc.

even though i don't like the song that much i won't be mad if they win cuz 1. lithuania is the only baltic country without a win and 2. it would be easy for me to go to esc in lithuania

first seconds i have thought something from metallica is coming.
i like that version a lot and i think,that nobody should underestimate this band in rotterdam - it has some fun,substance,catchy melody - short - it has it all!

With an audience in the arena and going first this year The Roop can build momentum like no one else.

Yup. And the lyrics are perfectly fitting the coronavirus-awareness. 'Dance alone right at your home' etc. It would fall flat a little bit if they performed somewhere near the end, but as first entry.. I can really see it having an big impact. Also a lot of 'social media-potential'. Videos/tiktoks, memes etc.

I'm very worried for The Roop. Based on their social media it really seems like they genuinely believe that they're going to win, and I can't see that happening
