2023 is the first year in which all of the Big Five countries will participate at Junior Eurovision, and Italy has announced this week that they will be represented by Melissa & Ranya!

Melissa Agliottone won Italy’s first season of The Voice Kids earlier this year, and Ranya Moufidi was a finalist. Though the song has not yet been released, Rai has revealed that their artistic director is Franco Fasano, a composer who has written several winning songs for the Italian children’s music festival Zecchino d’Oro.

Melissa & Ranya were internally selected by Rai Kids in collaboration with Universal Music Italy.

Italy will bring a duet to JESC this year, but what kind of song would #YOU like to see? Something up-tempo or a moving ballad? Let us know on our social media – FacebookTwitterInstagram, and Discord – or on our forum page!
