It’s postcard filming season throughout Europe, and it appears that Latvia’s 2023 representative Sudden Lights have completed filming for their postcard. According to the BBC press release today, rather than filming all postcards within the host country, postcards will feature areas of the United Kingdom, Ukraine, and each participating country.

In a video posted from the official BBC Eurovision account on Twitter, the members of Sudden Lights were driven to the shores of the Baltic and thrown into the cold waters. The members of the band got to swim and frolic in the waters, braving the chilly temperatures to film part of the postcard for Latvia’s entry this year.
The postcard will premiere before Latvia’s performance in Semi-final 1 on 9 May. Sudden Lights will be performing their song “Aijā” in position 4.
