David Charlin, an 11 year-old artist from Almaty, is set to represent Kazakhstan in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song “Jer-Ana” (Mother Earth). The song will be released on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 9:00 CEST.

It was announced before that there are two composers behind the song, in which one of them is Khamit Shangaliyev, the same person behind Kazakhstan’s 2019 and 2020 entries.

Kazakhstan debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest back in 2018 in Minsk, Belarus. They have a great run in the contest so far. They have maintained their top 10 streak after Alinur and Beknur finished in 8th place in last year’s contest in Paris, France with the song “ртегі әлемі” (Fairy World).
