Speculation has been there for a while now. Fans of the Eurovision Song Contest can be thrilled to hear that last year’s fan-favorite Käärijä will be back for Eurovision 2024 in the second semi-final. There have been rumblings within the Eurovision space for a while, especially regarding Käärijä’s possible connections to the Dutch entry of this year.

The Netherlands’ Joost Klein has recently been very active with promotional material on his social media, including Käärijä on his TikTok and other platforms.

Confirmed Interval Acts for semi-final two:

The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 has already confirmed several artists who will perform or feature in a “World’s Biggest Sing-Along”. These include:

  • Helena Paparizou (winner of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest – Greece)
  • Sertab Erener (winner of the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest – Turkey)
  • Charlotte Perrelli (winner of the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest – Sweden)

The concept for the three’s interval act has been described as the audience in the arena and the viewers at home being invited by Malmö 2024 to sing along with the winning tunes of the past. They will invite fans from all over the world, who will be projected onto the big LED screen during the performances.

Finally, Herreys, the winners of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1984 has also been announced to be making an appearance at the show. This will mark the 40-year anniversary of their win on the Eurovision stage. The Swedish broadcaster (SVT) has not provided details of the performance.

The second semi-final of the 68th edition of Eurovision is upon us and will be on the 9th at 21:00 CET. Make sure to also tune in to the final on Saturday, the 11th of May.
