The song I chose to enter might not be the "wow" song for most of you, but I really had to enter this song in this edition, because the word "robbed" is weak to describe what they did to this song and made it come 4th overall! This song came 1st in the televoting of whole Cyprus! But because in the "backstage" they decided that they wanted Annet Artani to go to Eurovision, they formed a voting system that ensured this. So, they split the televoting results to districts. Nicosia gave her 1-8, 10 and 12 points to the songs that got the respective positions, and the same happened with Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos and Famagusta. Then, they took the results of whole Cyprus (1-8, 10 and 12) and added them to the previews result. So, the results of whole Cyprus had the same weight with the results of tiny Famagusta district. Robbed or not? :twisted:

I decided to enter with this song as it was my last year´s favorite at Festival Kenges. It was a great song that had potential to reach top 15 at last years contest. I´m not saying Aurela Gace was bad, in fact i liked very much Feel The passion, but i prefered better this one because is an emotional ballad that touches your heart. It is one of the songs i still play on my ipod from time to time. And he is an awesome singer!!!

Luka Nižetić & klapa Nostalgija - Proljeće (2005.)
So, back in 2005, as our NF was about to begin, rumors started that "this year we have a great song, sang by Luka N.". I actually heard it in some conversations, among "common" (a.k.a. not raging esc fans) people. Anyways, Luka made it to the finals but he was stopped there (there was superfinale). Some media reporeted about irregular procedure in that NF, nothing was ever proved but u already get the picture about the entire show
We will never know how would this do in 2005 but "Proljeće" was huge hit in Croatia and still is remembered and mentioned as "our biggest esc mistake" (yes, even now). Btw, looks like it was our breaking point cause after that, we were just getting worse and worse.
So, enjoy the song (dalmatian folk influence, yes) and the video (taken in Split)
