I won't be listening to the songs today.
I'll need something to ease my heart, mind and soul as a back-up plan for tomorrow after listening to the German NF songs presented by NDR.

100% agree, but man... This year's the portuguese nf is so bland and radio friendly...
Bland and radio-friendly!?

Should I listen to Portugal first?
I cant believe my back-up plan to calm me down after listening to Germany is already left in shambles.

I would say yes, the nf is very low-tempo, but maybe skip Maria João and Silk Nobre, they're the odd balls in this nf

I have listened to some very good songs, but I am unsure about ESC's chances... Let's see.. Last year was the same.

Well... that is true. I am enjoying but there is nothing made and ready for Eurovision
I can see Iolanda working in Eurovision with a dramatic staging, although it must be said that her chances of qualifying for the final with a 100% televote are very low

Well, we need France, Switzerland, and Luxembourg voting in the same semifinal... Then, everything will be easier for us.

It's....actually a pretty good line-up! I really enjoyed it. There's far more flavour than the usual FdC borefest. One thing this is missing is a scorching hot hit, but Portugal couldn't possibly deliver something like that with their current mindset.

Anyway, here's my ranking:

Iolanda - "Grito" (9/10)
Maria João - "Dia" (8.5/10)
João Borsch - "Pelas Costuras" (8.5/10)
Mela - "Água" (8/10)
Mila Dores - "Afia a Língua" (8/10)
Left - "Volto a Ti" (8/10)
Léo Middea - "Doce Mistério" (8/10)
Filipa - "You Can't Hide" (7.5/10)
No Maka ft Ana Maria - "Aceitar" (7.5/10)
Perpétua - "Bem Longe Daqui" (7/10)
Silk Nobre - "Change" (6.5/10)
Bispo - "Casa Portuguesa" (6.5/10)
Nena - "Teorias da Conspiração" (6/10)
Rita Onofre - "Criatura" (6/10)
Rita Rocha - "Pontos finais" (6/10)
João Couto - "Quarto Para Um" (6/10)
Noble - "Memory" (4/10)
Cristina Clara - "Primavera" (4/10)
Buba Espinho - "O Farol" (4/10)
Huca - "Pé De Choro" (3/10)

There's only one song I'm unsure where to even place and that is Silk Nobre's. I'm hating it theoretically but it's kinda charming??
