Re: PORTUGAL 2018

RTP announced that they have already thought about the format of FdC 2018, and that it's very possible that next year instead of just inviting a few composers, they will do a mix of invited composers and songs selected by an open submission.
They are also considering the possibility of revealing the songs before the shows, instead of keeping everything secret, but they will only fully decide everything after ESC 2017. Anyway, it's pretty much guaranteed that they are not withdrawing anytime soon!

I hope we won't- But for that Salvador needs to finish in an awesome position. Like top 5.

I don't think RTP should/will think like that. Just a place in the final should be enough to make them eager to continue to try harder, or top 20/15. They won't be greedy/sore losers to the point of "top 5 or we're out"

I know I know. But if we don't get a top 5 we will loose a lot of the hype surrounding FdC :/

Wether you win or not, next year you should go modern!

What greater way to follow your biggest success than showing you can do more than being the most conservative country in the contest!

I still can't get over how I'm so surprised to see how the forum for next year is already up before the rehearsals have even begun...

Hopefully FdC will see a jump in song quality! xbow

Yes, I think it will! Now Portuguese composers realized that they can have a lot of success from Eurovision, if the song is good enough. They will surely try their best from now on :D

Re: PORTUGAL 2018

WE DON'T NEED TO GO THROUGH THE SEMI-FINALS NEXT YEAR xheat

That will be such a weird experience
I wonder if RTP will broadcast both semi-finals live? They should, they need to show off their hosting skills afterall :D
