This song is hauntingly beautiful.

I can't even say that it's my personal fave from Orangualia, because I was very very close musically with Alex and the majority of his entries got into my collection and into my player. The list will be super long.

You're absolutely killing it tonight! Your track "It Means I Love You" is such a hypnotic mix of sounds. What sparked the idea?

It came from thinking about how hard it can be to say something as simple as “I love you.” I was playing around with vocal loops and started building the track around that tension, saying something honest, but kind of hiding it in the beat.

Very relatable! Now, if "It Means I Love You" goes all the way and takes the crown... how will you celebrate?

I think I’ll celebrate with a bubble tea, a nap, and then maybe DJ a set in my kitchen for the plants. They’ve heard all the demos, they deserve this.

Since long before I discovered Nation Song Contest, this song has been one of my favorite bangers of all time. While the radio stations in the United States played a different version of the song, I've always preferred the version with Kylie Minogue. Orangualia entered "Higher" by Taio Cruz feat. Kylie Minogue in NSC 61.
