When I’s a little girl my grandma told me
That I could be just anything I wanted to
When I’s a little girl my grandma told me
Rhat I could be just anything I wanted to
She said that
Everything I work for
Everything I wish for
Everything I look for it is right in front of me
Everything I work for
Everything I wish for
Everything I look for it is right in front of me
And she said ah..

Haba haba, hujaza kibaba

When I’s a little girl my grandma told me
That is the little things in life that's gone make me happy
When I’s a little girl my grandma told me
That is the little things in life that's gone make me happy
She said that
Little by little
Fills up the measure
Don't ever give up
Keep on moving
Little by little
Fills up the measure
Don't ever give up
Keep on moving

Haba haba, hujaza kibaba

Re: NORGE - Norway 2011

NRK now accepts submissions for MGP 2011, Submission Deadline is September 15. There is a slight change in the rules. At least 50% of the sonwriting team has to be norwegian which means it is open to all nations.

Re: NORGE - Norway 2011

I think the the quality in MGP improved just a little bit, it would be the best national final along with Denmark. Hopefully they will have a lot of contemporary songs like last year and maybe this time they'll choose one of them rather than an old-style dated ballad.

National finals across Europe should ban Kempe from entering his songs!

haha agree but that will never happen since he like everyone other can send songs in this competition ;) But i hope norway will not send him again. Because i think norway should send someone from norway and not europe..

i have just heard four of this. Sichelle, Sie gubba, Åste and Helene.
If you ask me i hope will heard more big names in the rest of the song and not c and d people like Sie gubba, Sichelle and Åste

I think that Helene and Åste feat Rikke will go to the final and
Sie Gubba and Gates Parlament will go to the second chance before i have heard the songs
Last place will go to Use me
but let see probaly it will be more big names next time i hope

Re: NORGE - Norway 2011

Oslo, Norway - Today, broadcaster NRK revealed the remaining songs set to take part in the Norwegian final or Melodi Grand Prix as it's known officially. The remaining songs will compete in Florø and Skien.

At a somewhat glamourous press event at the Hard Rock Café in Oslo, the remaining 12 artists and songs taking part in the 2011 Norwegian final were revealed, reinforcing an already exciting and eclectic plethora of acts previously announced by broadcaster NRK.

Melodi Grand Prix project leader Skjalg Solstad said "there's probably never been such a large breadth of music in Melodi Grand Prix as there is this year". These artists bring with them different styles of music from pop and country to rap.

In addition Eurovision veteran, Hanne Sørvaag is taking part with her song You're Like A Melody. Hanne is known for having written two songs that took part in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo. These were the Norwegian entry, My Heart Is Yours sung by Didrik Solli-Tangen and Georgia's Shine sung by Sopho Nizharadze. When asked about taking part in the Norwegian final, this time as an artist, Hanne said, "MGP is a perfect window to show off something new and I'm going to perform my song with energy, passion and happiness".

Another notable entrant is seasoned singer, Grethe Svensen who will perform Like Dreamers Do. The 45 year old has released seven albums since 1992 of which three have gone gold in the Norwegian charts. Grethe is relishing in the prospect of performing in the Norwegian final for the first time saying, "It gives me a wonderful opportunity to share my music with the people".

Re: NORGE - Norway 2011

I'm most curious about Helene Bøksle. As for the rest I have no clue who they are so can't say much.

Re: NORGE - Norway 2011

I'm qurious about Norway's entry this year. Alexander won in 2009 and Norway had pretty good entry last year too though Didrik didn't take high position but I liked that song very much. So I'm very excited about what kind of song will represent Norway this year. Maybe we will hear something totally different. :)
