Well! Its funny you should ask... I went through the Musical Shuffle thread to see what the forum was listening to... Can you not think of a better use of your time?

Just to make things clear:
Songs with artists from multiple countries have had each of these countries included. Ie: Fleetwood Mac would count as both USA and UK.
Times were flags of regions, districts or countries that fall within another country have been simplified. Ie: Entries with the Welsh or Scottish flag will go down as UK.
I have not double checked any artists to see where they are from, and so if the original poster made an error (saying someone was from country A when they are actually from country B, the error will be in the results. Likewise, if the wrong year has been put, the error will be in the results.
When the original poster has not included the country or release year, I have not included the data in the results - Even I didn't have the energy to go through, checking every song. Which covers approximately:
670 songs by year
40 songs by country (including code errors)
However, if the country is given but not the year (or visa versa) then the available data will be included in the results.
I have almost certainly made errors throughout, so take the results with a slight pinch of salt. However, I'd like to thing its all fairly accurate!

General Points
I don't think its a surprise how well the USA has done considering its music industry. Nor is it a surprise to see how well Europe has done considering 1) its music industry and 2) this is a forum made up of EUROvision fans haha.
Its nice to see a wide range of countries making an appearance, even if they don't make as many appearances as western Europe
The top five (six) countries (Finland, France, Germany, Sweden, UK & USA) account for 59.81% of all appearances!

Conclusion
I wanted to collect more data such as repeating artists, repeating songs, genres etc. But this seemed like enough for now haha. Also may add more analysis etc at a later date!

Hahaha us 3 make up about 62% of all entries
But with that said, it's still pretty damn diverse! Both by country and by year. I think the "winning country" was inevitable, but even so 75 countries isn't too shabby!
I do wonder how much the results would change if I went back through it and included entries without country or year, I mean that was a biggggg chunk of songs, particular on the year

Love how it started off with solo female pop quens and then changed Male pop/rock groups.
Yesss it's great, I actually sent it to WV where it come 2nd (would have won if people didn't boycott because I sent it before them xo). I mean aside from the fact it's 48 seconds too long, yes. It's full of drama and power and the staging potential for it would be insane. Not to mention that epic climax. Very jury friendly also imo if vocally it's spot on.
