WLSC 290 is scheduled close to Toki Pona Day (August 9 this year), which celebrates the constructed language that has less than 150 words. To celebrate Toki Pona Day, Marcobia is sending jan Usawi (pronounced "yahn OO-sah-wee"), a singer who writes songs in Toki Pona, to this edition of WLSC. They represent Marcobia with "oww" (pronounced "oh WAH-wah"), which means "Make It Strong."

That's right! I'm glad you remembered my mentioning the longest word in Toki Pona. (See link below for reference.)

Toki Pona is a fun language. I can speak it on a basic level, but I aim to spend more time practicing it before the big day.

The song that is representing Marcobia in NSC 242 is "Monica" from the upcoming Indian film Coolie (2025). The vocalists are Sublahshini, Anirudh Ravichander and Asal Kolaar. In the film, actress Pooja Hegde makes a special appearance as Monica.
