We will get the first Junior Eurovision song on June 1! Albania will use Festivali Mbarëkombëtar i Këngës për Fëmijë në Shkodër as their national final instead of Junior Fest this year.

Here's the competeing songwriters. Among them Eriona Rushiti, Endri Mucaj, Enis Mullaj, the writers behind their last two entries!

RTP should withdraw and save money for FdC or ESC.

Tbilisi Arena (hopefully, it will host Eurovision one day):

The Olympic Palace (JESC 2017 and 2025 arena):

^ After the new Tbilisi Arena was opened in the same complex in 2022, the 2017 JESC venue is frequently called "The Small Hall" instead of "The Grand Hall".

Kudos to all fansites who didn't care to dig in this mess a lil' bit deeper :)

:ua: Suspilne has opened submissions for JESC. The NF is scheduled for October.
The system is the same like last year, when Suspilne did awesome NF with basically a 0 budget. As always, participants are allowed to submit a cover(s), in this case the music producer or one more invited producer will write a song for them. Tarabarova stayed. Her song won the NF and finished at #3 last year.

The new rule: The 6th finalist will be a band or a duo formed from a few kids who didn't qualify, "like in the :nl: Dutch NF" :gimmefive:

:am: Armenia is in https://eurovoix.com/2025/07/04/armenia-junior-eurovision-2025/

No news yet from :cy: Cyprus or :fr: France

Wikipedia lists :is: Iceland as a possible debut, I don't believe they have ever participated in any of the 'Eurovision Family of Events' other than the main contest, would be interesting if they decide to join.

So at the moment, looking like 15-18 countries this year.
