One of my favourite musicians that I'm listening to a lot recently is French artist Oklou. This is my favourite type of music from France, the experimental, electronic music. I would love for France to send something like this. (2022 "Fulenn" doesn't count, I consider that too ethnic.) However her music is in English, and that might be controversial for France. xthink

Oklou - Family and Friends

That would be a nice pick as well, expect her to be more successful outside the country than domestically tbh

I would be happy if Oklou represents us but i think she's more the kind of artist that would be picked for a national selection instead of an internal selection. There are many choices before her.
And for Kendji, i wouldn't mind too but i hope that if he gets pick, he will go for a song like his older ones feel good songs or similar to the Amir route, because his other slow songs are more generic, nice for radio but uncompetitive for the contest. If he goes to Eurovision, i want him to go for a song with a more latin and seductive vibe. He would be a great representative for France anyway and from a personal perspective i would feel really represented because we lived in the same little village in France at some point. :)

I don't want Kendji...

Like he'd be great in 2015 but now we're in 2025...
I mean some fans absolutely want Santa to represent France next year but her music feels even more dated than Kendji music so with a modern twist it wouldn't be that bad, but yes this shouldn't be a prioritary choice and personnally i'll rather have another national selection back.

Yes but not as big as he was during the 2010's with his first hits in my opinon. But if you ask people who's Kendji, then most people i think will be able to tell you who is Kendji. He's still a very recognizable singer, invited sometimes on TV (for example at the NRJ Music Awards last year), so i think there would be a lot of support for him if he represents us (with the right song, not his most dull ones).

I don't want Kendji Girac after what he did to his wife. For those who don't know, he blackmailed his wife into suicide last year.

After what happened with La Zarra (the middle finger) and Slimane (sexual assault) I think we've had enough of problematic representatives in France.

If the delegation chooses Kendji Girac, I will not support him regardless of the quality of his song.

He didn´t get sued and sentenced for anything, until that happens he´s not guilty in my eyes.

When I read this I thought he'd put so much pressure on his wife that she committed suicide. I didn't find that story on the internet. The only one I found was that he shot himself in the chest to impress her when she was about to leave him. So that's a whole different story. Did you refer to this one? Because what you wrote is something completely different.
