She was #1 female performer at that time, and thanks to her and our broadcaster Eurovision became so incredibly popular here xbow I had a dream that we could be represented by a song featuring trembita, and I wasn't expecting it to come true so fast)). I've had so many mixed emotions back then, because it was only our 2nd year ... like a schoolboy winning F1 )).

But I've changed my opinion 2 days before the final after seeing everyone's reaction. Not to mention I was proud that we were represented by a drag act. Verka is the only artist who's got a diamond certification in Ukraine.
