In 2006, after a series of failures et the Eurovision, ETV's Eurolaul team, led by Juhan Paadam, decided to do something incredibly stupid. No open competition, all ten competing songs were ordered from ten different teams. Thankfully, the results weren't too bad:
1. Kristjan Kasearu & Paradise Crew - So Much to Say
2. Deva Deva Dance - Supreme Nature
3. Koit Toome - Veidi veel
4. Laura - Sunflowers
5. Gerli Padar - Partners in Crime
6. Vanilla Ninja - Birds of Peace
7. Linda - 1 Year From Now
8. Soul Militia - My Place
9. Ines - In Good and Bad
10. Hele Kõre & Kristjan Kasearu - Romeo & Julia
On the other hand, there was a positive change. So called "professional international jury" was gone, Estonian people was once again able to make the decision. For the first time, the televoting was done in two parts: first round between all ten songs and second round between top three. And this is how Estonians decided:
1st round:
1. Partners in Crime (16759 votes)
2. Romeo & Julia (9350)
3. Sunflowers (8170)
4. Birds of Peace (7552)
5. My Place (4524)
6. In Good and Bad (2583)
7. So Much to Say (1771)
8. 1 Year From Now (1701)
9. Supreme Nature (1543)
10. Veidi veel (1371)
2nd round:
1. Partners in Crime (55416 votes)
2. Romeo & Julia (36881)
3. Sunflowers (25896)
The clear winner was Gerli Padar, sister of Eurovision 2001 winner Tanel Padar, who had also won the Estonian version of Dancing with the Stars a few months earlier. Her song was also the back-up jury's favorite.
Somekind of promotional video was also made, but I don't have it here at the moment and wasn't able to find it on Youtube either.
Anyway, the song went to Helsinki where we failed again. 33 points in the semi-final gave us 22nd place and left us far from the final. (Not my upload)
A year later she performed Estonian version of the song, called Bonnie & Clyde, as an interval act in Eurolaul 2008. (Low quality, not my upload):
