Eurolaul 2006

2006, after two failures in semi-finals, Estonia tried it luck once again. This time 4 songs were ordered from the following composers: Priit Pajusaar, Alar Kotkas, Mikk Targo & Ivar Must. 72 songs competed for the remaining six spots in the final.

Here are the entries:

After two years of televoting, the selection system returned to international jury, who gave points in Eurovision style. The result were following:
1. Through My Window (90 points)
2. Iseendale (84)
3. Higher (73)
4. Mr Right (67)
5. It Was You (56)
6. Friends Will Be Friends (55)
7. Open Up Your Heart (51)
8. Be 1st (41)
9. Sweet Separation (33)
10. Everytime I Tell You (30)

Public favorite was chosen by televoting and it was Mr Right.

The song went to Athens in Greece, where it we failed once again in the semi-final. 28 points and 18th place:

In 2006 I loved a lot "Everytime I tell you", but now I like Glow "Higher". I wish it had represent us.
Ines song is still very known...everyone can sing a bit from this

Really? In my opinion it was the opposite. Iseendale was and still is the only song I liked that year. Well, maybe Open Uo Your Heart too.

All songs are really nice for me... Good to listen. But when I watch up to that list of songs over here, then it doesn't seem at all like Estonian NF.

I loved this years entry. Eventhough we used a Swede for this edition and for the first time I think the backing singers were not Estonians either.

You really see the difference while the stage presence and choreography. There is always movement for the backing vocals also atleast from the second part of the song.

Too bad we were drawn next to Sweden. Carola just ate up our song.

Also Ines was great, loved also Aphro Tito and Meribel. They had really cool songs and something different for us.
