Waiting list (WL) rules:

• Voting in each final of NSC as part of the waiting list jury is compulsory.
• Any waiting list nations who fail to vote will be moved 2 places down on the list.
• Nations who fail to vote 2 finals in a row will be removed from the list.
• Under certain circumstances waiting list nations can take a break from voting in the finals if a solid reason is given. During that period of time the position of the nation on the waiting list remains frozen and it can move neither up nor down.
• Nations with 'NSC XXX' beside them will debut/return in the next contest.
• Nations with 'NSC XXX?' beside them can send a reserve entry to the next contest.

First of all, welcome to NSC! If you have any questions regarding the contest, feel free to post them in this thread or ask one of the mods: @Stargazer, @berlyda or @Veronika.

In order to get familiar with the contest, please take a look at the RULES!

If you want to apply for a place in NSC (or if you want to return), simply send a PM to Stargazer - you'll be added to the waiting list (see above).

Please note that you are probably going to be waiting for a long time as there is a strong demand for spots on the roster. In the meantime, you may enter the Waiting List contest, vote in the semi-finals of NSC and take part in the various spin-off contests if you wish to. Don't forget that voting in the finals is compulsory.

And most importantly: Have fun!

We're sadly saying goodbye to Effiland who decided to withdraw, but that means we also get to welcome back Kimmystan! We're still waiting on news regarding Orangualia and our dear Alex, so out of respect they will remain on the roster until we know more.

Everyone, it is with the deepest sorrow we regret to inform you that our dear beloved Alex of Orangualia has unfortunately been found passed away. Alex has been a staple and constant cornerstone of our contest for so many years and it's unfathomable to envision the world without him. The contest will go on, but a piece of its heart will forever be missing because Alex is no longer with us and we'll always remember and cherish him.

If you'd like to express your thoughts, memories and condolences, I'd encourage we all do so in Orangualia's thread so that they're all together in one place and could eventually be given to his loved ones as a testament to Alex's worldwide legacy.

Along with losing our dear Alex and Orangualia, Illumia decided to withdraw as well, so that means we get to welcome/welcome back Afnia and Dwyforland to the roster. Orangualia will remain a forever honorary member, but I'm still figuring out how best to showcase that so I put him at the top of the list for now.

There's been quite a few instances of this happening that I feel like I need to remind you all.

If you have a new name for your nation, a new flag, a new username, you're taking a break or withdrawing altogether - anything that I as keeper of the roster would need to know to update the roster properly - PLEASE let me know. If the only place you announce this is in your own thread, chances are I will miss it. From now on, please use this thread to let me know of any changes to you or your nation, so that I have all of the information I need to update the roster in one place. Thank you!

We sadly lost both and as they both had failed to vote in three consecutive finals, but that means we also get to welcome Inchandea and Dež Republic to the roster. Flag icons will follow shortly.

For the first time in a very very long time we're also now down to just one single person on the Waiting List so if @Splash and @Sultana want to rejoin, now would be the perfect time (along with anybody else who would like to join)!
