The verdict of the bloggers:
Benny - Unfortunately I don't like "Survivor" at all. For me, it's too wild of a mix; it sounds very martial and just drones on in my ears. PARG's vocal style doesn't appeal to me either. That's why it's unfortunately in last place for me this year.
Berenike - "Survivor" isn't exactly innovative, but it's a good, sing-along rock number. The song is probably more suited to a stadium than the Eurovision stage. But at Eurovision, there's room for everything, and since there are no other loud rock numbers this year, the song will surely find fans. I won't pick up the receiver right now, but I don't think "Survivor" is bad either, and the ethnic part adds a little extra "spice" to the song.
Douze Points - From the very first second, I feel aggressively addressed by" Survivor". It´s supposed to sound powerful and dynamic, but it clearly overshoots the mark for me. Hardly any of the melodies stick with me. The best part is the instrumental bridge. It's a shame, because PARG actually has charisma and could play well with the audience.
Laureen - Hello? Imagine Dragons? Anyone? The similarity serves PARG well, because it definitely makes the song a little more enjoyable to listen to. Nevertheless, I'm skipping it in the playlist because this entry seems too contrived, too planned. I recognize the intention and I´m disgruntled.
Giulia - Imagine Dragons, but unfortunately not on the musical level of Imagine Dragons. Songs that simply repeat a single word in the chorus earn a lot of negative points from me. It's not that I have much to criticize about the song, but I'm not really enjoying listening to it either, and I actually find it rather tiring.
