With every new female ballad we get, this is more likely to win. At least so far, there isn't any serious competition. Of course, it might be overhyped but it doesn't sound like the typical fan favorite that doesn't appeal to the general population like so many fan favorites in the past. I think this song really has mainstream appeal and it would be good for the future of the contest if a song like this won. There have been too many female ballads, too many middle-of-the-road pop songs and too many English-language songs in recent years. A winner like this could encourage some changes.

I agree completely, especially with the parts I highlighted!

Still to be seen on Saturday, but will Loreen overtake Occidentali's Karma as the fan favorite?

Or maybe it is the time for her to be butchered. There is always a bigger fish in the sea. Who knows

In the end Italy has already butchered her in ESC, in their own way, by giving big fat zero to "Euphoria" back in 2012 finals.. :D hihihihi

She might score high and i'm sure she will do with United States of Scandinavia's help.
She has a big portfolio even without singing. Denmark 24 point, Finland 24 point, Norway, 24 point, Iceland 24 point.
But we have the quality, originality. That is important

look at the flag lmao
This song has the power to change Eurovision for good since it's written and produced in a different perspective than %90 of the Eurovision songs, which is something Loreen's song lacks since her genre is the defining genre of today's Eurovision. It's good but it's not new unlike Occicentali's Karma.

Every Swede would've been called arrogant for a statement like that.
Sometimes the double standards in the Eurovision fandom are beyond ridiculous.

I am Italian, but from the previews I could say that also Loreen's song would be something original with quality, compared to Eurovision standards xshrug

Desmond Morris, a zoologist and ethnologist, whose book (The naked ape - A zoologists study of the Human Animal) is behind the dancing gorilla endorses Francesco!

“I’ve listened to his song,” he said. “It’s wonderful! Then I’ve seen the videoclip with Japanese costumes. Occidentali’s Karma is beautiful, catchy. On next May I will be in front of the tv cheering for him at the Eurovision”.

This is what we call an endorsement!

“A British journalist asked me if he had offended me,” he recounts. “What an honor instead! I’ve been studying for years the sign language in the world, and seeing what Gabbani does on stage and in the official video of the song is extraordinary since he combines and blends different cultures and quotes”.
The English scientist makes high-level comparisons: “I’ve read the lyrics and I’ve been fascinated by their beauty, culture and richness of citations. Never heard anything like this, perhaps only in Bob Dylan and John Lennon…the precision and sophistication of the lyrics is something I know because I met Lennon and we often talked about this art”.

Couldn't agree more with him! xlove
