Estonian broadcaster ERR has confirmed the rest of the participants in Eesti Laul 2023, welcoming both new and returning artists to compete for a chance to represent Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, England in May.

The November 2 artist reveal is the second of two for this year’s contest. Here are the 10 confirmed artists who will complete the lineup of Eesti Laul 2023:

  • Anett x Fredi – “You Need to Move On”
  • Bedwetters – “Monsters”
  • Linalakk & Bonzo – “Aeg” (Time)
  • Inger – “Awaiting You”
  • m els – “So Good At What You Do”
  • MERLYN – “Unicorn Vibes”
  • MIA – “Üks samm korraga” (One step at a time)
  • Neon Letters & Maiko – “Tokimeki” (Palpitation)
  • OLLIE – “Venom”
  • Robin Juhkental – “Kurbuse matused” (Funeral of sorrow)

Anett x Fredi, a fan favorite duo who placed third with the song “Write About Me” at Eesti Laul in 2020, are returning to the competition this year. Juhkental is another familiar face too. He’s coming back again after competing in Eurovision 2010 as the frontman of Malcolm Lincoln, and participating in Eesti Laul 2015.

 

On Tuesday, Estonia shared a list of the first 10 confirmed artists, which includes past finalists Sissi and Elysa. Here are the first 10 artists who were announced November 1:

  • Alika – “Bridges”
  • Andreas Poom – “Why Do You Love Me”
  • Carlos Ukareda – “Whiskey Won’t Forget”
  • ELLIP – “Pretty Girl”
  • Elysa – “Bad Philosophy”
  • JANEK – “House of Glass”
  • kaw – “Valik”
  • Meelik – “Tuju”
  • Sissi – “Lighthouse
  • Wiiralt & Ultima Thule – “Salalik”

This season, ERR received more than 200 song submissions. A preliminary jury listened to a playlist that contained only the titles of the songs, with no details about the identities of their performers or songwriters, and ranked the songs on a five-point scale.

Eesti Laul 2023 will include two semi-finals and a final on the following dates:

  • Semi-final 1: January 12
  • Semi-final 2: January 14
  • Grand Final: February 11
