Eskimo Callboy, the popular comedic metalcore band who have been gaining traction online with their energetic songs and vibrant music videos, have dropped a fresh hint that they may be in the running to represent Germany at next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The six-piece band, who combine elements of electronic music and pop with heavy metal, breakdowns and often humorous lyrics, have made no secret of their interest in the contest, previously confirming in an interview with YouTuber Alex Hefner that they may be “working on it” in terms of submitting an entry to German broadcaster NDR.

Now, with the release of their new music video for “Pump It” clocking in at under three minutes, fresh speculation has begun on whether the song may indeed be Eskimo Callboy’s submitted entry for Germany, including from German fan site ESC-Kompakt.

The band have not been keen to shut down speculation either, responding to comments regarding the contest under this and other videos.

With the band previously suggesting they could write a new song for the contest, could “Pump It” potentially be in Unser Lied für Turin, and could Eskimo Callboy be unveiled as one of the German hopefuls for Eurovision 2022 in due course? It’s too early to say, but things could get very interesting!
