Aftonbladet are not slowing their roll on revealing the possible acts for Melodifestivalen 2023 from their sources. It is rumoured that the acts for Melodifestivalen 2023 will be revealed across two virtual press conferences on November 29th and 30th.

The magazine has revealed a further 3 rumoured acts to add to the 12 acts already revealed over the past few weeks – 2-time Melodifestivalen participant Victor Crone and young debutants Maria Sur and Ida-Lova Lind.

Victor Crone has participated twice before in 2015 and 2020 as well as representing Estonia at Eurovision in 2019. He only made it to the final of Melodifestivalen in his attempt in 2020 with his song “Troubled Waters” progressing him direct to the final. Sources close to Aftonbladet confirmed his participation saying he will be there.

Maria Sur brings an inspiring story to Melfest 2023. She fled her home in Ukraine after the invasion by Russia in February 2022. At the time, the 17 year old was filming The Voice Ukraine and is now completing her high school studies in Sweden. She has been taken under previous participant and host Sarah Dawn Finer and made her Swedish stage debut in a Swedish gala raising money for Ukraine. She hopes to represent both Sweden and her home Ukraine next year.

Finally, Ida-Lova, daughter of 2010 host Christine Meltzer, is set to compete in Melfest according to sources. She made her artistic debut at just 13 as part of Aftonbladet’s Svenska hjältar gala. This year she released her first EP and is now rumoured to be competing at next year’s Melfest.

Aftonbladet have so far revealed Wiktoria, Nordman, Loulou LaMotteTheoz, Emil Henrohn, Marcus & MatinusPanetoz, Melanie Wehbe and Smash Into Pieces and added Paul Rey, Tennessee Tears and Elov & Benny earlier this week. Aftonbladet’s sources are often good at predicting who is participating in Melfest each year.

Melodifestivalen 2023 begins in February and tickets have gone in sale with the cheapest tickets for the final starting at 335kr (~£32).
